As I child, I thought I had zero financial worries in my future. After all our house had diamond door knobs.
My family seemed disinterested in this obvious fortune and easily agreed that I would inherit all the doorknobs. That house was sold many years ago along with the knobs. Sometimes I wonder how my life would be different if I only had those old glass knobs today.
Yes, I am a child of the eighties. Actually, I was born in the seventies, but I don’t remember anything at all. I do however remember all of the eighties. When I think of that decade, it is good thoughts. Banana clips, stir up pants, My Little Pony, Corey Haim, The Goonies, and George Micheal are just a few of my favorite things. Yes I did say George Michael. That is pre-public toilet lewd act drama. This is the George Michael dancing around in his ripped jeans with his guitar singing “Faith”, one of my all time favorite songs.
Hmm why am I thinking about this now? Well I heard the song in my car yesterday and I turned it up to the highest volume possible and jammmed out. Definitely a fun spot in an otherwise stressful day. Do you need a little “Faith” in your day? I know I sure do!
I guess this may seem a little odd, or at least a bit one-sided. However I thought this would be the perfect opportunity for everyone to get acquainted. The first thing you should know is that I am not always the best typist. During keyboarding class in 8th grade (1991), I just copied and pasted all my paragraphs that were supposed to be typed repeatedly. Some of you may already be turned off, but do not be deceived, I pay for it everyday. My #1 typo is the word “from”… it often comes out ‘form.’ Please excuse any typos.
On to more important items…. I love Sharpies, the smell of the asphalt when it rains, the movie Footloose, and peanut butter. . Evian is my favorite bottled water, and I don’t care if everyone else hates it or not. I had a crimp perm in 5th grade, yikes! And I want to be on “Wheel of Fortune” and the “Today Show”.
Well that is just the start. I’m sure as time progresses, we will become better acquainted. I am so excited.
